Time to try something new together…
I’m releasing here my first ever audio drop: a roughly 20 minute guided invitation to rest at the end of the day. I hope it’s helpful to you, starting tonight!
I know how challenging it is to shift from driven to reflective, and how readily we want to use our thoughts to help (think through everything that tomorrow will bring, plan for all the most and least likely outcomes, ruminate over efficiencies, and spiral deeper into vigilance).
Rather than simply telling you to use your body to shift to rest at the end of the day, I thought I would help show you how. I imagine this is best when you are ready to wind down, to find sleep, and to disconnect from the demands of the day. Ideally you are lying or sitting down, the lights are low or off, you are able to move comfortably, and occupy a space where you are safe to unburden yourself from the day.
At one point I invite you to open your eyes a sliver, make sure to close them again when you are ready. Also, make this practice yours however feels nourishing to you.
I hope that in my voice, you find the solace, the respite, and the spaciousness you are seeking. I hope you feel in your heart, underneath your skin, and in the releasing and relaxing of your bones, that you make sense.
